LOWER LEA VALLEY

Claiming that the Prologis site is not performing at his best, the project propose to set up a fertile fabric within its underused voids in order to initiate an urbanisation process that will bring housing and multiscalar activities within the technopark. Inserted into an available strip of land of 50m of width, the longitudinal organisation of the project will be well connected to the existing infrastructure and will generate synergies in and out of the system. Starting with the understanding of the built environment and the fragmented voids, the strategy aims to intensify a strip that will act as a limit as well as a connector. The insertion of of a linear fabric will generate mutations in the Prologis site and will enable a restructuration of their activities. Therefore, the whole Lower Lea Valley will be redefined as a new territory where environmental strategies will find ground for production, experiments and research in energy, water treatment, logistics etc.
