Seunsanga Urban Renewal

Downtown Seoul, a highway has been destroyed to recover a stream hidden underneath it: Cheonggyechon river. Between a historical shrine, Jungmyo, and the central mountain of Seoul, we proposed to link the city with a linear park. The vernacular pedestrian paths of the existing site give shape to the renewal of the 4 urban blocks.

Later on, based on this analysis we established the urban framework of regulations for the renewal of downtown Seoul. We then worked with the Vice Mayor of Seoul to organize the Seunsanga International Architecture Competition.
